Frequently Asked Questions

When will my order ship?

Most items are made to order, so please allow up to 5 business days for your order to ship. Some items are ready to ship and leave the studio quickly. 

Lead times on larger orders or custom designs will be provided in advance. 

If you need your items to ship before our 5 day production time, please contact us.  Rush fee quoted on an individual basis. 

Shipping and Delivery

All items are sent through United States Postal Service (USPS) with delivery confirmation. Tracking for your purchase will be sent once it leaves the studio. Upgraded shipping can be added to your order and will include insurance. Insurance is highly recommended.   We are not responsible for items lost in the mail. Once it leaves the studio we have no control over the shipping service.

Estimated Delivery Times (After 5 days production time):

  • Standard Shipping: 2-6 business days
  • Priority shipping: 2-3 business days
  • Express Shipping: 1-2 business days
  • International Standard Shipping: shipping times vary by country, up to 20 days
  • International Priority Shipping: 6-10 days
  • International Express Shipping: 3-5 days

International Shipping

Please CONTACT for international shipping outside the U.S. and Canada.

International customers are responsible for all import restrictions and will need to pay all fees, taxes or tariffs incurred. 

We are not responsible for items held in customs. 

Can you RUSH my order?

If you need your jewelry to ship before our 5 day production time, please contact us.  Rush fee quoted on an individual basis. 

Do you offer custom designs?

Custom designs are available; let’s work together to create what you’re looking for. Please use the custom jewelry consultation form to get started. 

Is gift packaging available?

Jewelry and hair accessories are shipped ready to gift! Items arrive in a box &/or pouch.

How can I find out about events and new designs?

What if I need a repair or size altered?

Repairs and alterations can usually be done and can incur a fee; please contact us to find out more.

Can I replace a lost earring?

Usually a replacement can be made, but it depends on the availability of materials used in the original design. Earring replacement cost is half the current retail price. Please contact us for more information on replacing an earring.

How can I return or exchange?

Every piece of jewelry is crafted with care; meant to be enjoyed for years to come. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, returns or exchanges can be requested within 7 days of receiving your order. Please see the Return &Refund Policy for more information. 

Does Carrie Whelan Designs offer wholesale?

Yes, we do offer wholesale for select retailers. We offer buying on our wholesale website or during local, in-store appointments.

Sales Tax

Orders from Connecticut and Massachusetts will have sales tax added to the total.
