Styling a Romantic Fairy Tale Wedding
This wedding inspiration is perfect for the classy lady that dreamed of having a fairy tale wedding day. Built in 1906, the Thomas House and Garden in small town, Ridgeway, South Carolina is the ideal setting for an intimate, storybook wedding. Owner Jessica Drew is also a photographer who utilized the historic details and natural light to capture these gorgeous photos. I couldn’t be more excited that I was able to help with styling a romantic fairy tale wedding at this location.
Low arrangements of roses and hydrangeas in white and shades of pink are so classic and allow guests to enjoy outdoor scenery. Gold accented, white table settings and chiavari chairs add elegant touches. The floral accented, four tiered cake brings all the details together creating a beautiful focal point for inside dining.
The bride simply radiates with fresh, soft bridal makeup and an up-do with soft curls. Wearing a traditional veil that can be taken off for the reception has become a popular bridal style. It adds a touch of tradition that simply must be done for a fairy tale bride. The veil flying in the air photo alone makes it worth it – so simply divine!
After the veil came off, she had the ISLA hair pin to complete her look. With pearl petals and tiny crystals, it’s a shimmering accent that is delicate but oh, so pretty.
No fairy tale bride is complete without a princess gown. The lace bodice makes the silhouette flattering and with the full skirt and draped lace sleeves, this gorgeous gown is just the right style. Keeping the look very classic, the bride wore the ALYCE bracelet, a two strand freshwater pearl bracelet accented with sparkly rock quartz gems and silver beads.
Drawing attention to this fresh faced beauty was a must, so the COLLETTE earrings do just that. These stunning chandeliers, dripping with clear gems and pearls are a luxe accent, fit for a queen! They complete her look, but don’t overpower her entire ensemble.
This was my second time styling a wedding at the Thomas House and Garden. You can see more of my timeless pearl jewelry for a vintage styled wedding at this gorgeous historic venue loaded with southern charm.
